Nothing is more dangerous than a little knowledge. You can cite all the
"linguists, psychologists and other academics" you want, but citing is different from research that supports a point. Show me the data. If you look at a body of research (look at it objectively without starting with the answer), or even NAEP scores, you'll see that your claims about whole language are misguided.
