Another Blog

One of the things I loved about being married to my former husband was his various ....uh...enthusiasms.* That meant that many folks we met were enthusiasts of pipe organs, tanks...and lots of other niche areas.

One of the things I love about blogs is vicariously meeting people who have niche enthusiasms. REPORTING ON SIGHTINGS OF CONTINUING INFLUENCES, PERCEIVED INFLUENCES, AND OPPORTUNISTIC ABUSES OF ANCIENT GREEK AND ROMAN CULTURES IN THE PRESENT.... Go check it out.

Here's another one:

I am an armorist. That is, somebody who studies coats of arms, a student of heraldry, and all the related fields. It's a small, arcane discipline, but the advantage in that is that you get to know everyone in the field very quickly. I do blog on heraldry occasionally. (It's a slow-moving subject. Not a whole lot to talk about.)

He also has a very funny name for his blog. Jackalope Pursuivant.
