Feeling Shy -- And Left Out

Grace Davis organized the first WoolfCamp, which happened while I was chaperoning providing driving & banking services for a certain girl while she inspected possible colleges.  Then I didn't pay attention, and a second Woolfcamplet happened today.

Women who are all close and know each other....I've met Grace and Badger exactly once at Blogher.  Would I have gone?  Would I stuck to been my hermitly self?

I feel like a party-crasher.  No I don't, the party-crashing I've done I've felt like a bold buccaneeress.

I feel like the kid to shy to ask the other kids to play.

Liz, don't be silly. You would have been absolutely welcome. If you can ever squeak it in, come to Badass Mamas' coffee any Thursday at 10 AM at Main Street Kaugphy in Deadwood. Almost every person there is a Woolfcamper.

Ah! If any of us had thought of inviting specific people we would have pinged you. But I didn't invite anyone especially, it just went out to the people who came before and went up on the WoolfCamp blog and wiki for whoever was going to see it. I was so busy with other stuff, I didn't do any organizing or inviting, etc.

Do come to coffee, I know we would have some fabulous conversations. I enjoyed meeting you at BlogHer and hearing all the stuff you boldly stood up to say. I think we have a lot of mutual interests in education, politics, momming, and feminism!

Other than me and Jo and Squid I don't think any of us know each other all that well. Since the BlogHer conference a lot of blog-friendships are forming and solidifying.

Anyway, you could totally take the idea and run with it, host the next meeting at your place! All you need to do is go on the Woolfcamp wiki and declare it's going happen.

Oh! and here's how we normally relate...

blogging in separate corners like fierce little animals.

Ack! Liz! It would have been absolutely wonderful to see you, WoolfCamp, BlogHer, wherever.
