Reading Plus

 

Reading Plus | Silent Reading Fluency Development is a computer-based method of evaluating and remediating students' alleged eye-movement disfunctions during the reading process.  It claims to be research-based.

It is being widely-used in low-performing Florida schools, as this article from the Miami Herald reports.

Help me out here, readers.  Is this another bogus treatment, or is this actually a valid approach to help struggling readers?
