Fellow Students Preying On Developmentally Delayed or LD Students

June 17 2006 Update: Another such attack below the fold
On April 5, 2006, A 14 year old boy raped a developmentally delayed girl at Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana.  The attack was witnessed in part by two 15 year old boys, who reported the incident to authorities.  The boy was charged, but is back in school.  The girl is pregnant.

The girl's attorney reported that school officials felt that it would be better for the girl, "who has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old", to transfer schools while the suspect  was allowed to remain at the school.

But Kevin Logan was kept out of the prom.  I guess Mary Steele has her priorities straight: keep transgender people out of the prom, but keep violent sexual offenders into school.

John Wills Lloyd tells of another similar attack  this time in Philadelphia.   A female student at Frankford High School  was lured to the balcony in the school's auditorium, where a group of male students were waiting, planning to assault her.

Girl's mother: "These boys took advantage of my daughter because she has a learning disability."  "Her ability to make the right decision is not within her limits."

The boys were touching the girl when a teacher approached; the boys left.  Police are questioning the students involved.

Girl's mother: "I thought there were people there to protect her."
