Just in Time: The Woo Handbook and The Woo-Woo Credo

Looking at what teachers thought about Brain Gym found me this:

I use brain gym every day with students and the difference in attitude and behavior convinces me that BG is profound....I get so tired of the old paradigm of SCIENTIFIC evidence .....just notice the difference in yourself....

Why is it that people can say things like this with a straight face?

The old answer was the Woo-Woo Credo  #3 ( Don't accept mainstream science unless it's something you've believed in for years (like gravity).

Skeptico, through some deep undercover work, has discovered the new answer: The Woo Handbook.

It's right there in point #4

Remember, your personal experience is always more valid than their scientific studies (or your lack of them). Anecdotes will convince more people you’re right than any number of “studies”, so have a couple ready. It doesn’t matter if they’re true – you’re on the internet so no one knows who you are and can check them anyway.

Thanks, Skeptico!
