Panda Bear, MD on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine

Orac pointed me to Panda Bear MD, who is a resident in Emergency Medicine.  I gather Dr. Panda Bear is older than the usual doc-in-training.   He's a former Marine and engineer, and tells it like he sees it, especially about medicine

People often ask me if my experience with Emergency Medicine, the most practical and hard-nosed of the medical specialties, has left me cynical about the possibility of finding some validity in Homeopathy and other equally ridiculous Complementary and Alternative Medicine therapies.  Actually, by the time I had finished the eighth grade I had a sufficient background in chemistry and biology to recognize that these things cannot possibly work.

He's devoting the month of November to considering Complementary and Alternative Medicine in his usual refined style (warning to those easily offended: he sometimes writes like a Marine).  I'm looking forward to it.
