OK, we really do need sp^m-deterrent bots. Why? Right now, after cleaning the sp#m traps yesterday, I have >350 sp*m comments in the sp@m trap. All on boring posts whose comments have been closed for months.
But I have a hard time remembering that there's another step in most commenting systems, after you click "post". The authentication/verification step.
Oh, well, eventually I'll get the drill down.
