Hot and Frustrated
AT& T thinks it sent me a router so won't send me one for the new house -- so no internet access. Sheesh.
DishNetwork is giving me grief about setting up service.
The water pressure in the new house is pathetic--if the shower is running in bathroom #1, the toilet won't flush in bathroom #2. (It's not the pipes, they are copper).
I can't get the asbestos folks to call me back (I am 90% sure the textured ceiling treatment isn't asbestos, but they won't call me back to tell me test results....).
But we made a commitment to move into the new house by July 15.

Ohhh, so sorry about the router and the heat. :( You should be able to know about your ceilings by the date they were done...unless it was right on the cusp. Ours were 1979, during the phaseout of the asbestos-based icky cottage cheese ceilings.
Are the fires smoking you out up there?

Did you try increasing the water pressure at the water main? Sometimes it's that simple. Or, alternately, the regulator is bad and isn't regulating the pressure properly. With copper pipes, your pressure ought to be fine. We had the same problem and it was the regulator.
Sorry!

Sounds pretty hasslesome. Sorry.
We managed to move into the temporary, and Pat's tamed all three floors (including the basement, where we're storing a few 1000 lbs of boxed goods). Now, onto the plans for the new place....
