CPS Position Statements: Chiropractic care for children: Controversies and issues.
The statement reads in part:
Interested parties are urged to read the entire article.Parents should be made aware that there is a lack of substantiated evidence for the theory of subluxated vertebrae as the causality for illness in children, and x-rays taken for this purpose expose the child to unnecessary radiation56.
Conclusions Chiropractic treatment for children and adolescents is not uncommon. Open and honest discussions with families using or planning to use chiropractic for their children will, hopefully, bring about a rational use of this treatment in selected musculoskeletal conditions for which there is proof of efficacy, and enable parents to make informed choices about this form of therapy. Further, well-designed studies are needed to evaluate the chiropractic belief that musculoskeletal dysfunctions can be located and treated in children with nonmusculoskeletal conditions10. Ideally, collaborative evidence-based research into chiropractic care for diverse paediatric conditions should define those patients best suited for chiropractic therapy.

As a chiropractor, I realize that if the body just has less stress, it works better. this point is not debated in even the AMA... or if it is, I can't find it! This is true for adults and children. but chiropractors should rarely have to take x-rays to help get tension out of the patient.

Chiropractic treatment is one of the best methods for treating numerous health problems naturally. After years of experience being a chiropractor, I have found that it is a powerful way to solve many pain conditions, like headaches, neck pain and back pain, as well as many non-pain condition as well, such as fatigue, sleep problems, and sinus problems.

I am a sole believer of pediatric chiropractic. Children are introduced to a number of new germs when they begin school; therefore, they become ill more often. Having your child adjusted regularly can help improve their immune system and prevent them from getting sick. If you were to take your child to the doctor’s office they would prescribe an antibiotic for temporary relief. Why not go with chiropractic for a more permanent result? Chiropractic is an affordable and safe solution.

in oour 20 years as chiropractors, we have only had to have 1 xray taken, and that was for an 80 year old woman.
our methods have worked for all our patients and withiut the need to expose anyone to xrays.

Millions of people who suffer from a wide variety of conditions, allergies included, have benefited from chiropractic care even though chiropractic is not an allergy treatment, Why? Because chiropractic is a method of health care that permits your body to function at its best. That is especially important if you suffer from allergies.
