I learned a truly revolutionary way to teach spelling at IDA this week in Baltimore. I highly encourage everyone to investigate the work by Peter Bowers. His book is Teaching How the Written Word Works. I'm am not easily swayed but this makes so much sense I want to scream it from the rooftops. Looking forward to teaching my students to spell ...and think about words.
