How odd that her peers think that intelligence and LD don't coexist. My experience is the opposite, usually when I meet somebody highly intelligent and *creative* I start looking for congitive peculiarities first. I am susprised when I find people whose strengths didn't develop as compensation for other ... difficulties/weaknesses. Then again, who knows what I thought when I was their age.
