Jay Rice

I used to work as a bartender at the Turf. Although there are problems with the laziness of the staff there, the real problem is with the new 21-year-olds and the media's misinterpretation of what a "power hour" is. A "power hour" in North Dakota is nothing more than the one hour (12:00am - 1:00am) on a person's 21st birthday when it is legal for them to drink.

Problems started when the ridiculous "21 for 21" game got lumped with the legitimate idea of the "power hour." Power hours are completely safe if the drinker is smart. Bars and power hours shouldn’t be blamed for the idiocy of new drinkers drinking stupidly.
