Here Forever ... this motto was everywhere when I first arrived at CEDU's Rocky Mountain Academy. It was on t-shirts, sweatshirts, and huge murals on the living room and dining room walls. I knew in looking at the campus on Sunday that a part of me was there forever, too, along with probably every other parent, student and staff member who had ever been on that campus and experienced amazing times assisting young people with their struggles and growth. It used to give me a chuckle actually to hear newer students inquiring about the Here Forever motto and just exactly what it meant. We staff knew it meant Here Forever in one's heart. But, by the look on the faces of some of those new, bewildered students, I'm sure some must have wondered about the length of the program their parents had just chosen for them. Hmm, this is a really long program. Forever! Wow!! Now I've really gone and done it!
What else was closed? A growth experience of a lifetime.

As a formal student at Rocky Mountain I have many different ways of looking at the school shuting down. The staff at RMA were amazing. They cared for the kids and they always worked had to try and benifit us. About one month before the school accually shut down all os my fellow peers noticed that the program started falling abart. We had 4 different Directors on the 6 monthes that i was there. The director at the time had just dissapered and didnt come back. We knew that there was a problem when that happened. About a week before the school shut down there were rumors that it was shutting down but nobody beleived it. When we did get the new it was devistating. Most kids were crying becuase we knew that we wouldnt see most of or friends agian. It was horrible. I then went to Northwest Academy after RMA closed and about 1 1/2 months later NWA shut down along with the rest of CEDU. It was the same. Lots of tears and sadness. I am now at a school down in Utah called The Oakley school. I have been here for about 6 months. Its going well for me I just miss all of my friends and all of the staff from CEDU.
