I've just finished reading Ready or Not, Here Life Comes, Mel Levine's new book.
Levine is the pediatric psychiatrist behind All Kinds of Minds and Schools Attuned.
The thesis of Ready or Not is that there are a number of factors working in contemporary society that leaves young adults unready for the demands of the adult worlds of work. Twenty-somethings cannot make the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
Levine's book dissects some causes of life-unreadiness, and offers structured advice for both parents and the young adults in question.
Highly recommended.
