Read Banned Books

Walter Mayes (information technologist at The Girls' Middle School and Walter the Giant Storyteller) pulled off a teaching coup during Banned Books Week 2002.   Two things happened: the students at GMS revolted (hurrah!) and my darling daughter sussed out the deal before the week was out (hurrah for critical thinking!)

Commentary
I didn't read much of the "what's happening to my body" literature; I found out I don't really care for Judy Blume that much;  most series books (like the Goosebumps) bore me;  Anne Rice in her many incarnations isn't for me; Jeanne Auel writes pap;  teen "problem literature" is also boring (even when well written).
