Betty Peters

According to 2005 book, EVIDENCE OF HARM, by Kirby, autism and ADHD and Asperger's are part of the same spectrum of disorders. The book indicates there is also a connection to mercury such as thatused as a preservative in many vaccinations in the past, called Thimerosol (sp?). It is being phased out of most vaccines and some states have banned its use. Seems there is a genetic predisposition plus brain injury from mercury involved in many cases of autism. It's definitely worth studying and I urge parents and physicians and health departments to be cautious about vaccinating children under 3, when mercury type ingredients are used. Appears mercury is cumulative, a fact not usually considered in research. It's similar to dangers with radiation. Danger can come from too much mercury at one time or a total to date. Age and size have an impact, with unborn children receiving mercury in the womb at high risk. Some say MMR vaccine has problems aside from mercury when given around 18 months or so.

Ms. Peters, you are entitled to your opinion, but I prefer science.

Kirby's "Evidence of Harm" is not science.
