Steve Sherlock

Liz, your blog was found and written about by the HitchHiker Team at

I don't think my sons grades would bother me ... if I thought they reflected his efforts ...after the teacher's followed the IEP. However, until the teacher's actually follow the IEP ... they can't say that he is not trying.

Sorry "we make the same modifications for the whole class" doesn't quite cut it! Nor does "No, I won't write it for him or give it to him on paper, it's on the board, he can write it himself"
It's on the IEP that he can't get the information from the chalk board to the paper... "we don't do special modifications for individual children, we modify for the whole classroom, this is Junior High, you know."
