Dennis Hagan

i just read an article in the Boston Globe concerning the Special Ed services in Reading. I have a special needs daughter and ended up moving to Burlington 15 years ago because of disagreements with the Reading Special Ed Services Reading was providing for her. I agree with Scott Davarich when he claims they are corrupt. They were 15 years ago, so I'm not surprised it continues today.
We went to hearings 3 times & were headed for a fourth when we decided we had to move in the best interest of our daughter. I might add that even when we won our case, the Department of Education Hearing Officer ruled in our favor, allowing us to be reimbursed for legal fees, but also ruled that Reading's latest proposal sounded good & we had to give it a chance.
To summarize, not only is the Reading School Department corrupt, the Special Education Hearing Process is also.
