NorthJersey.com ran a six-part story on autism (main page here), including interviews with individuals with autism, including the story of Tony Meyer, who was diagnosed twelve years ago--when he was 56.
This is good local reporting.

So great you posted about this. The stories are from the newspaper the Bergen Record and, while the focus is the northern part of this not very large state (in terms of size not population), the issues raised are national. I posted on Autism Vox here:
