hello mam
ur services r really good.understanding such children, taking great care and putting more patience to make them excel as well, needs a lot.i've got a suggestion.it'll b great if training in teaching dyslexic students is kept in cirriculum for B.Ed and teacher training.and it'll b good if a school possesses atleast two or three teachers, who'll b able to spot out and take care of such children who r even more special.

hello I am a mother of a ten year old kid studying in class 5 of a reputed school. My son is a known dyslexic under going remedial learning and scoring average marks due to his disability,i.e. spellings. I have informed his school about his condition and submitted his assesment, but they are not ready to accept saying the child is smart.how else can i convince the school, and teachers as they think that dyslexic is only the difficulty of writing reverse letters. can you please guide me. We are from Bangalore, and people here are advising me to shift him to a state board school as ICSC board does not have any concessions for dyslexics. kindly help us.

with regards Janaki.

Hi,

Dyslexia children in India can now access an online digital library for an annual subscription of Rs.400. The digital library is called Bookshare and can be accessed at www.Bookshare.org.in. This allows the child to listen to the computer read out the book and they can follow on the screen at the same time. It is like having a audio book and a hardcopy to follow at the same time. Many Dyslexic children in the United States and United Kingdom have found this service very useful.

Hi
Teaching has been a passion to me.So just as in art canvas is a platform so is each child receptivity factor. each child is differently abled and the medium and mode can be innovative to make a child find its own convieneant way to explore to learn.Once you find your child is different from the general platform creating skills to explore your child starts. The knack of learning is inborn in the childs system.I have been successful by giving motivational kindleness to activate the learning ability. The parents attitude to guide and sit along is absolutely important. The success is directly proportional to your belief and patience and your ability identifying the area of kindling interest and aptitude of the child
