Thanks for pointing to this! I'm very happy with the way the piece turned out. Margot Sanger-Katz has written on controversial subjects before; she was the lead reporter on the case of tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown, and has subsequently taken a lot of heat from their supporters, who didn't care for the way she covered the story.

Actually, the Monitor isn't quite my hometown paper; Concord is over the mountain, about an hour's drive from Peterborough. It's the state capital, and has an old-fashioned State House sporting a lovely gold dome. It's also got two excellent law libraries -- one private, at Franklin Pierce Law Center; the other public, at the NH Supreme Court building. Then there's the massive U.S. Courthouse, with the cement barriers in front of it, and a very elegant interior.
