Why on earth would you want to bring in an expensive, superfluous program when you have a 27% drop out rate and can't even get the majority of students to pass the basics? It makes absolutely no sense!

IB is not a magic potion. Reduce class size, hire better teachers and ramp up discipline if you want better results. Selling out to the Swiss isn't going to get you there.

What are the references to the data contained in this article? I would like to see an authoritative measurement for the dropout rate by year. Also, the percent of students that graduate, the percent that go to college, the percent that meet UC standards for a 4-year college, and the percent who take AP (or IB) tests.
