Paul Offit was one of the co-inventors of the rotavirus vaccine, Rotateq. He has written a number of books relating to vaccine issues, most recently Autism's False Prophets. He has recently been interviewed in Wired: An Epidemic of Fear: How Panicked Parents Skipping Shots Endangers Us All. Offit is the dominant voice repeating the messages that vaccines are safe and effective.

He deserves the award for a job well done. He has made enormous contributions to children's health and welfare.

Hey, did you hear that Offit had to concede that he published false info about Handley? That Offit is going to have to donate $5,000 to a charity chosen by Jenny? Personally, I'm delighted that someone called Offit on the nasty stuff he published in his remarkably off-the-wall and unhelpful tome.
