Does Paul Offit MD "Work in Pennsylvania"?

That's Meryl Dorey's claim, made September 22, 2011 on the Australian Vaccination Network Facebook page (image and link at the bottom of the post).

Dr Offit (or Dr Profit as I prefer to think of him) works in Pennsylvania in the US

Why yes, he does! According to his resume, he holds the following posts:

• Professor, Department of Pediatrics, The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia
• Chief, Section of Infectious Diseases, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
• Director, Vaccine Information Center, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Well done, Ms. Dorey!  One assertion of fact is correct.

Better than her average.

Even the clowns at AoA (from whom she presumably cribbed the patent information) have backtracked a bit on the earnings claims.

But I have to thank Meryl and Gloria Lemay. If it's true that laughter extends the lifespan, they've probably given me at least a few extra months between the two of them.
